      1. Arrange charcoal briquets in a pile in the center of the grill. 2. Apply 1.6 fl oz (47 ml) starter fluid per pound of charcoal (approximately 15 briquets) uniformly to the pile. 3. Light the charcoal immediately. The starter fluid with burn off cleanly in a few minutes, leaving the charcoal fully ignited. 4. Do not close cover of hood on grill before lighting. Do not start cooking until briquets are covered in white ash.

For Safe Barbecuing: Do not pour lighter fluid on burning briquets. Never use gasoline to light fire. Do not cover flaming briquets with grill lid. Make sure ashes are cool before discarding. Grill should be placed on a level surface. Place grill away from all flammable items (trees, overhands, buildings, etc.). Do not use in cigarette lighers. Should more cooking time be needed, add regular charcoal briquets.
